"Fake Smile" is the debut project from Cleveland artist Polaris. The project highlights Polaris' vocal, writing, and production ability. The project starts out with heavy-hitting tracks like "iSWEAR" and "Ric Flair", on which Polaris promises his family that they won't have to struggle any longer. From there, Polaris moves on to talk about the ups and downs of relationships with tracks like "Pullin Up", "Speechless", and "Too Many", all of which feature a more melodic, R&B feel. On the final track of the project, "The Real Polaris", Polaris raps along side his younger self, noting his hunger for success hasn't changed in the 5 years it took to complete the song. Appearing on "Fake Smile" alongside Polaris are Young Shank, Shawn K, Lost Tribe, and Braman; all Cleveland acts that show promise. Polaris handled a bulk of the production on the project with help from Cleveland producers Dexlab and Bnice, and Houston producer Crxnium. The project is hosted by Connor OD.
