imfromcleREF1 Here is the second installment of our new "Featured Artist Of The Week" series. We are providing a platform for these artists to share whatever it is they would like with their fans. This week we decided to reach out to Referee who has made his name known on the site over the years. Hit the break and check out what he had to say below (may I add that this guy is quite comical)! Interested in being featured next? Email us: newclevelandmusic216@yahoo.com My hobbies include grooming my epic beard, shitting on kids on Call of Duty and making them cry to their mothers and chugging 40s outside of the corner store.. Oh and I'm pretty good at rapping too. My new album is entitled Gold Chains, 40 Ounces and Inner Demons and is available on iTunes, Amazon, Xbox Live and other outlets. The album is made up of a lot of dark personal stories, as well as motivational anthems and ratchetness. The feedback thus far has been incredible. My biggest influences are Joe Budden, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Jadakiss and many other lyrical wizards. I strive to push the limits of what people think Cleveland music is. I'm tired of the same watered down music about the same topics that keeps being regurgitated by 90% of the artists here. I've worked with many artists including Ace Hood, Ray Jr, Young Shank, Mookie Motonio and more. Lately I've cut down on features because most of the greats don't have many other rappers on their albums and I think a lot of artists rely too heavily on piggybacking other artists brands so I'm straying away from it. I think in the long run it'll make my brand stronger and more exclusive. In the future you can expect visuals from my album and more dope music. I also may become a beard model. If there's no such thing I'll invent the position and be a pioneer in beard modeling. I'm sure a big plate of fried chicken is also in the cards. I love fried chicken.
