With the EDM scene in the forefront like never before, it seems like there's new talent jumping out every 3 minutes. Some bad, some average, and even less memorable. Lasting impressions may only be a matter of how hard your bass drops or whose voice got sampled today. With that in mind, one aspect gets completely over looked when it comes to the scene; the younger generation. Several acts in different genres are becoming visible thanks to media outlets such as Vine and YouTube, but not many in EDM, until now. Meet 14-year-old triple-threat phenom Alex Angelo. Currently known for taking over Radio Disney airwaves but, he got his start right here in Cleveland. At the age of 7 he was one of the lead dancers in the Cavs kids dance trope. Later, finding interest in mixing through his father's iPad, he took up DJing to the point where he became a opening DJ for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Added in with his ability to sing, he is on the way to become one of pop's new teen sensations. Having already been an opener for Justin Bieber and Pitbull hasn't stopped the young prodigy's hard work ethic one bit. Just off the strength of his debut EP, This Is the Beginning which released in February of this year with the hit, "This Is Your Night", he's been able to tour with big acts like Austin Mahone, Shawn Mendes and Fifth Harmony, along with currently having his own Radio Disney mix show called "Saturday Night Party". With all these accolades already under his belt at such a young age, things are looking up for Alex Angelo and the Fangelos. Check out some of his recent work below!
