Twitter: @TheRealJRSmith More than 80 students who belong to the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland patiently waited their turn to take pictures with Cleveland Cavaliers' basketball star J.R. Smith. As soon as I walked in I noticed the exciting looks on their faces. Not only did they get to meet Smith, but they also had the opportunity to sit in the theater with him while watching an early screening of the movie Race which comes out February 19th. This movie tells the story of Cleveland native Jesse Owens and his journey to the Olympics. Smith took advantage of this opportunity to express how this movie was a personal inspiration for him. Although he stated that he wished the kids had fun and enjoyed the movie, he encouraged them to learn from the history lessons that the film provided. This was a great event that showed Smith's desire to give back to the community. I personally suggest that everyone sees this film once its in theaters. It was fantastic.
