First Semester is Jawan's first individual project released ever. The EP consist of production from NewDerseyBeats, Bravestarr Beats, G. Cal, and Stimp C. with features from Ralf Ośe, Jordan Michael, and JayDoe. These are some of the members that are a part of the team called Gritty From Cleveland (GFC). Each of these artists are due to release their projects this year as well. First Semester is basically a collection of thoughts and stories gathered during his transition from High School (James F. Rhodes) to Ohio State. Jawan wanted to take a different route with this message, which he felt a lot of people weren't considering. With that being said he decided that he was going to go against the odds and continue chasing after his dream with this music while also making sure his academics were being taken care of. Its his 3rd year at OSU but it took him two years to finish the project because he wanted the quality of the EP to be amazing and Jawan feels like he accomplished just that. Knowing that he still has ways to go he is in the middle of creating Second Semester as well as another mixtape. Jawan is also currently shooting a video for the first record on the EP, New Beginning, which does not have a release date set yet. Meanwhile stream First Semester below!
