We are now at week 15 of our “Featured Artist Of The Week” series. We are providing a platform for these artists to share whatever it is they would like with their fans. This week we decided to reach out to TreaZon. Hit the break and check out what he had to say. Interested in being featured next? Email us: newclevelandmusic216@yahoo.com. Twitter: @TreaZ 1. Hobbies: I honestly can't say that really I have too many hobbies outside of music. I'm always focused on creating the best songs and verses I possibly can and taking the sound to the next level. If I had to name one, I'd go ahead and say anime. Anyone that knows me or follows my music knows I'm into anime heavily. Battle rap as well, I'm always checking up for new rap battles to hear that world of hip-hop. 2. Influences: My biggest influence is Tupac Shakur(2Pac). I love the music he made while he was alive, but I really identify with him as a person as well. I feel like he was extremely intelligent and ahead of his time in that regard, and he was never afraid to speak his mind which is something I feel is missing today. I don't believe in sugar coating and I don't believe Pac did either. I also go by TreaZ Kenshin, and that is a reference to Himura Kenshin, a character from the anime Rurouni Kenshin. Since I was introduced to that anime back in 2010, I've always felt like I related to that character on many different levels, and the story itself. I always wanted to convey the emotion I felt while following that story into my music, which is why there are so many references in my albums. My next project "Trust & Betrayal" is entirely based on Kenshin's backstory, a film of the same name. 3. Who You'd Like To Work With (Local x Non-Local): Locally, I still want to do something with ZuP, I think he's really talented. As far as anyone else, I'm not sure there are any rappers I want to work with as of right now, but I would definitely like to work with Jessie Ware and Mayer Hawthorne. If I ever got to a level where this would be possible, a dream collaboration would be Sade. I think Sade is one of the most slept on artists of our time. 4. Anything Else? I want everyone that follows me to know I truly appreciate them being patient with the Trust & Betrayal EP. We're continuing to make our chess moves and we want to make sure everything is calculated this time around. I can tell you that it will surely be worth it. I'm working on a full length album as well, look out for that this year. Look out for QuESt's album coming this summer which I have a big part in. Zero Love lifestyle, Genzu Nation over everything.
